Types of L Bar Sealers

L Bar shrink wrap sealers are your go-to solution for centerfold shrink film. Perfect for high-output operations, these machines efficiently seal and cut centerfold film in one seamless motion, making them ideal for various products across multiple industries.

There are three popular sealing elements used in L bar sealers. The wire L bar sealer uses a wire heating element to seal and cut the shrink film. The element heats with an impulse once the bar is closed and a contactor is engaged. Depending on the thickness of film, the wire can burn out and break after several seals.

A step up from wire sealers are ‘micro knife’ L bar sealers. The sealing element is a flat coated metal band turned on end to heat and seal the film. These L-bar sealers also heat when a contactor is engaged. However, the heating element can become inundated with residue and not work as well after thousands of seals.

The hot knife L-bar sealer is the longest-lasting sealing element used with L-bar sealers. It maintains a constant set temperature and is much more durable than wire and micro knife sealers. With proper maintenance, hot knife sealers will last hundreds of thousands of seals.
